Welcome to Shandong Fuxing Machinery Co., Ltd.
The mechanical press is a device that converts power into pressing force through mechanical transmission. It is widely used in metal punching, forming, bending, stretching, and other processes. Proper and standardized operation of the mechanical press can improve production efficiency, ensure product quality, and safeguard the operator's safety.
Operators must undergo professional training, be familiar with the mechanical press's structure, performance, operating methods, and safety regulations, and hold the appropriate certification before working.
Operating under the influence of alcohol, fatigue, or unstable emotions is strictly prohibited. Operators must stay focused and avoid chatting or engaging in unrelated activities during operation.
Check whether the frame, worktable, ram, and other parts have visible damage, deformation, or loose components; tighten any loose bolts.
Inspect electrical wiring for neatness, good insulation, and absence of damage or aging; ensure power plugs and sockets make good contact without looseness or overheating.
Check the oil level in the lubrication tank; add appropriate lubricant if below the specified range.
Inspect lubrication pipelines for blockages or leaks; start the lubrication pump and ensure sufficient lubricant reaches all lubrication points.
Test the dual-hand operation buttons for responsiveness; the press should start only when both buttons are pressed simultaneously and stop immediately if either button is released.
Verify the proper functioning of the photoelectric protection device; blocking its beam should immediately stop the press.
Check that the emergency stop button works correctly and stops all press movements instantly when pressed.
Confirm the die is firmly installed; ensure the upper and lower die guides function well without sticking.
Adjust the die clearance to meet process requirements, as it directly affects product quality and die lifespan.
Prepare workpieces according to process specifications, ensuring proper dimensions, shape, and material.
Place workpieces stably to prevent shifting or tilting during pressing.
Use appropriate fixtures or positioning devices for large or irregular workpieces to guarantee processing accuracy and safety.
Turn on the main power switch and check that the electrical control system functions normally.
Start the lubrication system to ensure adequate lubrication of moving parts.
Adjust the ram manually or electrically to a suitable height to facilitate die installation or workpiece placement.
Select the appropriate die according to process requirements and install it securely on the worktable using clamps or bolts to prevent movement.
Adjust die clearance uniformly and in accordance with specifications.
Place the workpiece accurately on the lower die, ensuring correct alignment.
For batch production, automatic feeding or positioning devices may be used to improve precision and efficiency.
Adjust the press's pressure, stroke, and speed according to the material, thickness, and process requirements.
Ensure the stroke is set properly to avoid excessive compression of the die and workpiece at the bottom dead center.
Conduct trial pressing to check the quality of pressed parts, such as dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and burrs.
Make fine adjustments to the die clearance and press parameters based on trial results until the product meets quality standards.
Start the press and press both operation buttons simultaneously to ensure hands remain away from the danger zone.
Closely monitor the press operation, watching for abnormal sounds, vibrations, or odors.
Never place hands or body parts in the die danger area during operation.
Utilize safety devices such as light curtains and dual-hand operation buttons to ensure safety.
After pressing, wait for the ram to stop completely before opening the die and removing the workpiece.
Inspect product quality; analyze causes and adjust die or press parameters if defects occur.
Clean scraps, oil, and debris from the die and worktable to maintain a tidy workspace.
Operators must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, helmets, gloves, safety shoes, and earplugs, to prevent injury from flying debris or noise.
Ensure all safety devices (light curtains, dual-hand operation buttons, protective guards) are intact and functional; never remove or disable them.
Avoid distractions and keep unrelated personnel out of the operating area.
Immediately stop the press and inspect if abnormal noises, vibrations, or oil leaks occur.
Do not perform maintenance or adjustments while the machine is running.
Clean the press surface and working area from debris and oil residues after each shift.
Regularly lubricate sliding and transmission parts according to the manufacturer's instructions using suitable lubricants.
Check the electrical wiring, hydraulic system (if any), and dies regularly.
Replace or repair severely worn dies promptly to maintain processing accuracy.
Record and analyze any faults and their handling procedures.
Address issues such as loose parts, abnormal noises, or oil leaks promptly.
Know the location of the emergency stop button and press it immediately in case of emergency.
Cut off the power supply to ensure the machine stops completely.
Evacuate personnel to avoid secondary injuries.
Report the incident to maintenance and safety management personnel, and cooperate with investigations.
Operators should undergo systematic training to understand the machine’s structure, working principles, and operating procedures.
Master safe operating skills and emergency handling methods.
Regularly participate in safety knowledge and skill assessments.
